Show ELKS PREPARING FOR CIIMI SHOW C. H. Lewis Will Direct Presentation of "The Tuxedo" This Year. SpcciaJ to The Tribune, OODEN, Nov. IS. With C K. "Lewis as director, the show committee of Ogrclcn lodge No. 71?. B. P. O. Elks, has tentatively tenta-tively arranged for the presentation of "The Tuxedo" as the annual charity fund show of the local lodge for 1918. Mr. Lcwi.s, who directed the successful 1917 show. "A. Night in a Cabaret." has returned re-turned to Ogden, and pvcph rations ''11 be started within the next t wo w euks to stage the second Lewis produetlon. Members of the show committee who have conferred with Mr. Lewis regarding the 191S production, are W. T. Greenwell, secretarv of the Ogden lodjre; Henry Rosenblutli, Jod Baliantyne, C. O. De Wolf and W. D. W. Zeller. The lfUST-:iks show will be. presented on two nights about the middle of January, depending on open dates at local theaters. According to Director Jewis. "rrhe Tuxedo" Tux-edo" in many respects resembles the 1917 show, in that it is largely a musical production, pro-duction, with some pioc and apportunlty for comedy of a. "local color." The cast and ensemble includes a large number of young women, and it is proposed to obtain much of the best musical talent in the city for the forthcoming production. Mr. Tv?wis. who travels throughout the we.t in hi-? work as a director of theatricals, theatri-cals, has decided to make Ogden his headquarters head-quarters to the extent of becoming a member mem-ber of the Ogden lodge of Elks. He will be Initiated as a member of Seven Nineteen Nine-teen lodge next Tuesday nigtit. |
