The Home and School League motion picture committee for better films will hold a meeting this evening at the public-library. public-library. - The purpose of the meeting is to discuss plans for the development of the state movement for better films, through tlie boys' and girls' matinee and family group evening. The committee is working In co-operation with the Photoplay exchange in arranging ar-ranging programmes for the Saturday morning boys' and girls' matinees being presented at th Paramount-Kmpress theater. The Photoplay exchange is establishing a circuit throughout the state for the presentation of programmes approved by the committee and produced in Salt Lake City. The committee expects thfi Parent-Teacher Parent-Teacher associations and the civic section of the State Federation of clubs to cooperate co-operate with the exhibitors in assuring the successful 'development of this circuit. The programmes planned for the present pres-ent season are stories of patriotism, wholesome romance, lively adventure and fun, educational subjects, animal and scenic Alms. j Mr. Coombs, chairman of the programme pro-gramme committee, announces for Saturday Satur-day matinee, October 13, "Your Obedient i Servant," the story loved by all young ; people, "Black Beauty"; a comedy, ccfr- toon and scenic picture. The feature for October 20 will be the charming story of "The Fairy and the Waif." |
