Show JAPANESE STRUCK BY HOTEL VEHICLE U. Nishimura, Japanese, living at 1211-4 South Fifth West street, suffered a broken collar bone and bruises about the feet and knees late last night, when he was struck by the Hotel Cuilen automobile bus while crossing the street at Third West and First South streets. J. T. Deming, 6S2 South West Temple street, driver of the bus, told the police the man walked directly into the fender of the machine, which was moving, and that the rear wheels of the car had run over him before it could be stopped. The injured man is an employee of the Oregon Short Line railroad. He was treated at the emergency hospital bv Dr. W. S. Key ting. When struck a revolver was knocked from the pocket of the Japanese, Japa-nese, but he was suffering too much last night to explain to the police his reasons for carrying the weapon. |
