Further progress toward permanent provision for mobilization of the nation's industries and resources in war time was made to- j day at the second joint meeting this I week of the National Defense council and 1 its civilian advisory comroission. Seven committees were appointed to take j charge of trie division of work, with a 1 member of the commission as chairman of each committee.
