Show LOGAN WATER USERS AND COLLEGE AGREE As a result of the investigations and recommendations of engineers, an agreement agree-ment was reached yesterday in the longstanding long-standing controversiy between the Logan River Vater Users' association and the board of trustees of the Utah Agricultural Agricul-tural college whereby under certain conditions con-ditions of conducting the storage dam near the mouth of Logan canyon ail claims against the state are waived, with the ex-, ceptlon of a bill of $22jO for expenses alleged al-leged to have been incurred by the water users in legal and engineering expenses the past three years. This claim was yesterday turned over by the state board of examiners to a committee composed ! of L. B. Adams and A. T. Wright, trus-j trus-j tees of the Agricultural college, for In- vestigation and recommendation. The details of the contract between the state in its conduct of the hydro-electric plant, which supplies all the state Institutions In-stitutions with power for lighting and other purposes, and the water users, are to be drawn up at once by Attorney General Gen-eral Dan B. Shields, representing the state, and attorneys for the" many parties par-ties to the original suit. When this contract, con-tract, is completed all pending litigation will be "wiped out. |
