Show PROMINENT PIONEER DIES AT HIS HOME Another Salt Lake pioneer passed away yesterday when William Grant Timmins, SS years of ace. died at his home. -313 South Ninth East street. He was a native of England. Mr. Timmins walked across the plains with one of tlie rirst emigrant parties, in charge of which was Bishop Eld red ge. Mr. Timmins organized the first nail factory fac-tory In Sugarhouse. and lie was also a foreman on the t "nion Pacific railroad extension from Opden to Weber canyon. Later Mr. Timmins became road supervisor super-visor in district 5 in Salt Lake county, and ten years later he engaged in farming. farm-ing. General dehillty on account of his advanced age was the cause of his death, lie having been taken ill about twelve weeks ago. He is survived hv four sons W. M.. F. V., and E. F. Timmins of Salt Lake and D. K. Timmins of Jackson, Wyo. Funeral arrangements have not as vet been completed. |
