Show SAYS SALT LAKE IS TO GET MENTION John James Telegraphs Insurance In-surance Men Favor Coming Here. A telegram received yesterday by John D. Spencer, president of the Insurance Insur-ance Federation of Utah, from John James, state Insurance commissioner, who is in attendance upon the convention conven-tion of the Association of nsu ranee Commissioners at Richmond, Va., indicates indi-cates thai, the 1017 convention of the I national organization mav come to I Utah. ' Mr. James says in bis telegram that J it loolts almost, certain that the convention con-vention will .be landed by this city (and that most of the western, middle i west and southern states are boosting for Salt Lake. The Insurance Federation of Utah, at a meeting Tuesday, framed a telegram tele-gram to Mr. James, inviting the convention con-vention to come to Salt Lake, and giving giv-ing assurance that llie federation and all the insurance organizations of the stale will unite in extending hospitality hospital-ity anil entertainment to the state commissioners com-missioners if they will decide to hold their next annual mooting in this city. This telegram was read on the floor of the convention at Richmond, and was greeted with much enthusiasm, it is reported. Looks almost certain that Salt Lake will get tho 1017 convention. Practically all of the western, middle west and southern states are with us. |
