Show F. E. SCHEFSKI IS CHOSEN SECRETARY Former Newspaper Man Is Given Place on the Republican County Committee. F. V,. SehefsM was selected by Chairman Chair-man Charles M. Morris yesterday as secretary sec-retary of the Salt Lake countv Republican committee. The selection of Mr. Schefski came as a surprise, as his name had not been mentioned publicly in connection with the position. In making the announcement, an-nouncement, Chairman Morris said that after carefully considering the matter for several days he had reached the conclusion conclu-sion that Mr. Schefski was the man for tiie place and. as he was clothed with authority au-thority to make the appointment, there was nothing more to say. Jn order that he may be In a position to better direct the work of tiie campaign, 1 Mr. Morris has divided tiie work into departments de-partments and has assigned a chairman to i each department, who will, report directly i to him. He announced that Julian M. Thomas had been appointed chairman of 1 the transportation' department, but declined de-clined to give out other appointments at this time.
