Show RULES LI DOWN ON MILK ENTRIES Instructions Are Issued for Benefit of Contestants at State Fair. Formal and official announcement was issued yesterday regarding the milk exhibit ex-hibit which will be entered at the state fair. Competition in this class is open to all market milk producers in the state of Utah. Entries will consist of two pints of unpasteurized milk in pint bottles. The milk entered in this competition must be produced on Monday, October 2, and must be shipped at once. Producers Pro-ducers of milk are allowed only one entry en-try in this class. Transportation on all exhibits in this classification must be prepaid to destination; destina-tion; otherwise the shipments will not be accepted. All entries after scoring become the property of the Utah State Fair association. asso-ciation. Where the form on the entry is filled out, shipping crates will be returned to the owner at his expense. All shipments, to be recognized, must be made to Heber J. Smith, room 131 Capitol building, Salt Lake City. According to 'the official information given out, all bottles should be carefully packed ; caps should be sealed, making the bottle air-tight, and both the top of the bottle and the cap should be protected bv paper, metal or other material, mate-rial, and all covered with crushed ice sufficient to maintain, a low temperature during transportation. A representative of the state fair will take charge of the exhibits upon their arrival in Palt Lake. The prizes offered for the highest scoring scor-ing milk in this class will be: First, official blue ribbon and trophy; second, official red ribbon, and for third prize, official yellow ribbon. A handsomely engraved silver trophy, donated by ZIon's Savings Bank and Trust company. Is offered under the following fol-lowing agreement, the trophy to remain re-main in the possession of the winner of each contest, and until the opening of the state fair for the following year, unless un-less won in two contests by the same person or company. It then to become the permanent property of the contestant. In 1915 the trophy was won by the Jessup dairy. |
