I ii the report the Utah directors pointed out that the state is essentially a non-manufacturing state, but that it is abundantly able to supply raw mater-1 mater-1 ials in immense quantities. This, it is said, is especially true of metaJs, fuel, foodstuffs, livestock and canned goods. By legislation enacted recently the work of the naval consulting board will be continued through regularly appointed appoint-ed government commissions. Besides civilians prominent in the industrial lifo of the country, officers of the army and navy nre to be detailed to this service, so that in- the event of a national na-tional emergency ther.e will be an organized or-ganized bod' ready to supervise the productive agencies of the country with a view to obtaining the best possible results. Thus a chaos like that existing exist-ing in some of the European countries at the beginning of the war will be avoided.. In connection with the announcement of the work completed, the Utah directors direc-tors expressed their appreciation of the efforts of all persons who aided them in the movement. The amount of work involved was immense and the fact that it all was performed by volunteers, in the opinion of the directors, reflects the patriotism of the American people.
