Show , ; V UTAH-IDAHO MOTOR COMPANY MAKES IMPORTANT I ADDITION TO ITS LINE OF CARS HANDLED Eli f-O ' - ' --' w-, &'?J '- lvvto ! Tha Premier Is tho latest addition to the TJtah -Idaho's extensive line of motor cars. Newest Premier models are now on exhibition at the Utah-Idaho's salesrooms, one of them being the Premier "Foursome," as illustrated abov. This is a two-couple roadster and especial attention is called to the rear door. "If thera is nothing new under the nun," Bftid Salesmanaer K. A. Oharron of the Utah-Idaho Motor company yesterday, yes-terday, "there in at least a decidedly new way of applying old principles to P automobiles, ana the Premier stands as a shining example of these new applications appli-cations of the ardent if h; ad vancemeut of the pant. ' Wfl consider on selves very fortunate, fortu-nate, " continued Charron, "in having been able to secure this addition to our line of motor earn, and it will top our lift of automobiles In fact; it will, If itfl popularity in other localities is taken as a critorion, top the list of all auto-; auto-; mobiles in this territory regardless of price or previous prestlgft. ! ' ' We are now exhibiting the two j Premier models, the Premier seven- pas- Benger touring and the Premier 'Four some' roadster. And to those, who ilo not know the Premier car I will take this opportunity of explaining a few of its, what wo consider, superior qualities quali-ties "In sire, a big, luxurious, seven-pas-fieoger touring car; in quality an equipage equip-age that holds its own with any car, regardless of price; and in appearance, the embodiment of those ideals of yours which you have despaired of ever finding find-ing in any motor car Premier is an unheard-of value. Did you ever think it would be possible to put an aluminum I motor in a car selling at $dS95? "This inclosed, overhead valve, six-cylinder six-cylinder aluminum motor, designed and built in the Premier factory by Earl G. Gunn, America 's pioneer aluminum motor builder, develops upward of seventy-two horsepower with less than 300 cubic Inches piston displacement. "We doubt if any car in existence can take a hard hill 'in high' as slowly as Premier. In an emergencv it leaps like a blooded horse hit with a whip. "We claim it to be tho liveliest car on wheels, but in addition to its remarkable acceleration, wo bolievo it will throttle lower than any other car on the mar-Vet. mar-Vet. Try it yourself. So much Lyuite aluminum has been used in the construction con-struction of tho Premier that it weighs only 33-15 pounds on the shipping plat-. plat-. form. " Xo one has evor before put the Cutler-Hammer magnetic gear shift in a ear as regular equipment at any price. Incidentally, we believe that eventually a ear without a magnetic gear shift will be as obsolete as a car without an electric starter. "On a climb Premier clicks smoothly through its gear without the slightest loss of momentum. You can change gears twice as rapidly with Premier's push button gear shift as you can with a hand lever, and with it you can literally liter-ally play your way through traffic. The whole control of the car is under Tonr thumb. Prove this by driving the demonstrating car. "Think of an eight-inch frame, twice as deep as the frame in vour present car. Are body squeaks and rattles possible pos-sible with such a foundation? "Our statement that no car of its wheel base, 1 25 'inches, can turn as short as Premier is subject to demonstration. demon-stration. In traffic its thirty-nine-foot turning radius and its magnetic gear shift give it a great advantage over all other cars. 1 ' Through the use of the aluminum motor an entire redistribution of weight is made possible. This, coupled with Premier 's eight-inch frame ami its fifty-eight-inch Perfection rear springs, makes it ride like a liner. ' 1 For once the d ri ver 's comfort has been considered. With 2o5 pounds excess ex-cess weight eliminated from the motor, tho front end becomes unbelievably easy to handle. Due to its perfect balance and the rigidity of its frame, Premier is steadier on the road at sixty miles an hour than most cars are at twenty-five. twenty-five. "In appearance Premier is not a copv but a refreshingly new creation. It beggars all description it must be seen to be realized. The 'bullet body lines ' are now; the gun -metal velours finish is new; tho stylo of upholstering is new it smacks of the grace, freshness fresh-ness and originality of the most exclusive exclu-sive Parisian gown. "In appointments Premier is literally showered with little niceties of refinement. refine-ment. The Bteering wheel tilts up out of the way thus finally effecting a left front door that is a practical utility. util-ity. The instrument board i6 of solid walnut, dressed with ammeter, oil gauge, Warner speedometer and a nickel dash light that becomes an inspection spotlight spot-light in a .iiffy by merely pulling it out ot its socket -attached is a fifteen-foot cord extension that reaches to the furthermost fur-thermost parts of the car. The upholstering uphol-stering is of the finest Marshall sanitary sani-tary cushion springs and real leather. The tonneau drugget is of pure, natural colored wool. A tonneau light illuminates illumi-nates the rear entrance step. lTot a single one of the points that women love in a car has been forgotten. "In spite of the car's lightness and wieldiness, it probably has more tonneau ton-neau room than was ever obtained on a wheelbase of 125 V inches." |
