Show HDHTHWESTERH MEET IS STOH AFFAIRj League President Tenders Resignation After CluS Owners' Wrangle. SEATTLE. Dec. 16. The directors of t the Pacific Northwestern Baseball league held a stormy meeting today, at which Fresident Blewett offered his resignation. resigna-tion. President D. E. Dugdale of the Seattle club threatened to leave the league and a motion to drop the Montana Mon-tana cities was defeated. The resignation of President Blewett. upon which the directors took no action, was offered at the close of a session marked by differences of opinion. Late tonight the directors were still in session ses-sion and had arrived at no conclusions , on the next season's policy of the league. According to members who attended this afternoon's meeting, each director found fault with the management of the league during the past season. The crisis that resulted in the resignation of the president came during an argument over whether Monday should be traveling day for the teams. Butte and Great Falls insisted in-sisted that Seattle was working against the Montana members. A motion to drop the Montana towns from the league was defeated. A motion to penalize Seattle because o'f poor attendance during the past season was carried, whereupon Dugdale Dug-dale declared It was a matter of Indifference Indif-ference to him what action the league took. |
