Show 'NEWS OF MICE IN PIE DDIS ORDERS Cadillac Announcement of Last Week Responsible for Many Sales. The announcement last Monday that Cadillacs would raise in price at midnight mid-night December 4, was the signal for an avalanche of orders to pour into (he Sharman Auto company, local Cadillac distributors, according to Sam Sharmau, manager of that company. "According to the plans of tho manufacturers manu-facturers we were allowed to accept orders which were in the mail before I midnight of December 14, subject to manufacturers' acceptance," said Shar-man Shar-man yesterday. "We were, however," he continued, "absolutely unprepared for the avalanche ava-lanche of orders which came pouring in upon us. On December 14 we took orders for exactly eightv Cadillacs in this territory, which I 'believe is bv far the greatest number of high-grade cars ever sold in this territory in one day." Mr. Sharman left yesterday for the Cadillac headquarters in Detroit, explaining ex-plaining that he intends to follow those eighty orders right into the factory and see that the cars are delivered, lie also intends to make a special effort to secure an additional appropriation of cars for this territory tor this season, stating that unless more care are allotted allot-ted to his territory there- will be no more Cadillacs delivered from Salt Lake City before April 1. While east Sharman will visit the Oakland plant at Pontiac, and on his return trip-will stop at Denver for a day to look over conditions in that city and inspect the branch concern of the local Sharman Auto company which handles the Oakland in that territory. |
