Show -SUPER! BEJDYTO DEVELOP Harry MacMillan Reports Financing of Important Arizona Project. J. Harry Mar-Millan. the well-known mining, man, tifter a three-day conference confer-ence with his a.csociates in Butte, Mont., returned to Salt lake yesterday, where he reported the practical rounding out of the extensive campaign of development planned for tlie Magma-Superior mine, adjoining ad-joining the Mjfgma property, at Superior, Ariz. Only the finishing touches, says Mr. Mai-MUlan, ar needed on a financial operation op-eration tliat has drawn together enough capital to insure tlie thorough exploitation, exploita-tion, on a vapt scale, of ground raLed in the same oass as that of the great Magma mine, whose d Isclosures are cre-ailng cre-ailng he latest genuine stampede In the weft . With the assured backing of some of the strongest financial interests in Montana Mon-tana and Arizona, and the Magma-Superior Copper company in process of organization, or-ganization, Mr. MacMillan will leave in a few days for Superior for a conference confer-ence with his Arizona associates preparatory prepara-tory to launching sinking and drilling operations op-erations calculated to constitute the foundation for a mining enterprise of the I first order. Said this well-known promoter and op- ' era tor: "YVe have the ail vantage of a 1 shaft 200 feet deep on a cross-fissure identical with that on the now famous Magma property, which adjoins our ground. "The management of the Magma-Superior feels that early additional development develop-ment will put this property in the spotlight spot-light In the mining world through tlie opening tip of its known ore bodies. "Conservative engineers who have exhaustively ex-haustively examined the Magma-Superior i are emphatic in their assertions that this j property will beat its two or three well-known well-known neighbors in the race for companionship com-panionship with the Magma in demonstrated demon-strated ore bodies. "The Magma-Superior property has the advantage over all holdings other than the Magma, In the Superior district, in that the development work already performed per-formed has proved the existence of high-grade high-grade copper ore lying within the por-phyry-fillsd cross-fissure into which the 200-foot shaft has been sunk. "It is the contention of C. H. James, consulting engineer for William Wrigley. Jr., millionaire gum manufacturer, that there are three distinct cross-fissures coursing through the Interloper eroun. now embraced within the holdings of the Magma-Superior Copper company. "Ihigineer James, in the report he has made on the property, speaks :n emphatic em-phatic terms when he declares that the Magma-Superior company undoubtedly has In the Interloper group, so snugly joining the sensational Magma holdings, the early development of a splendid mine. "As soon as the Magma-Superior Cod-per Cod-per company is organized, we will continue con-tinue sinking operations from the bottom of our -OO-foot shaft and shin, to the 500-foot level. "In addition, we will start to develop the ground with a drill in another part of the property, 'where we have been advised ad-vised by our engineer that there is everv prospect of encountering commercial ore bodies. "Wo have secured strong backiner and have ample money for the thorough and complete development of the ground." So confident are the backers of the Magma-Superior that thev recently respectfully re-spectfully and emphaticailv rejected a most nattering offer to sell to owners of one of the neighboring properties which has just collected a treasury of $600 000 in cash. The Magma-Superior is a 210-acre estate at Superior, Ariz., sixtv-three miles couth of Phoenix, on a branch of the Arizona Eastern railway. The company will be capitalized for 3.500.000 shares at a par value of Jl per share, with 600,000 shares in Ihe treasury. |
