Show BAPTIST WORKERS OPEN CONVENTION Eepresentatives of Pacific and Central Divisions Here; Visiting Preachers Preach-ers Occupy Pulpits. 1 Salt Lake is the meeting place selected by the Baptist general workers of the Pacific Pa-cific and central divisions of the denominational denomi-national work. Already the state superintendents super-intendents and general missionaries of the Pacific coast division are in the city, having opened their conference Saturday at the Newhouse hotel. Tuesday, when all from the central states shall have arrived, a four-dav conference con-ference on evangelism will be held. Following Fol-lowing this, the workers from the central states will hold their district conference. Yesterday the various Baptist pulpits of the city were occupied by tho visitors. At the Immanuel, Superintendent of Evangelism Dr. W. B. Hlnson of Portland Port-land preached both morning and evening, the latter service being a union meeting of all the Baptists in the city. Dr. Hlnson Hln-son is a gospel preacher of extraordinary ability and helpfulness, and a large number num-ber took advantage of the opportunity to hear him. , The Rev. F. R. Margetts of the east W asbington and northern Idaho convention conven-tion preached in the Burlington church, and Dr. J. F. Watson of the southern California convention filled the pulpit of the Bethel church. The Rev. w. H. Bowler of tjie Idaho-Utah convention went lo Provoand the Rev. A. It. Bailey, Los Angeles, spoke in the Ogden Baptist church. The visitors are all enjoving themselves and are delighted with SnItLake. The Rev. Mr. Rronson is arranging to give them an auto trip of the city and environs this afternoon. Those who are already here are: State superintendents Arizona. T. ' F.
