Show FOUR BOARD MEMBERS APPEAR AT MEETING Only four members of the city board of education appeared last night for the meeting that was to have been held for 4 he purpose of taking final action upon the appointment of teachers and supervisors super-visors recently made by the board in committee of the whole. The four were at the board rooms at S o'clock and waited until 8:20, when they adjourned until Friday night because of the lack of a quorum. Thone present were J. C. Howard, A. D. McMuMen, John C. Cutler and George M. Sullivan. Thev Instructed Clerk L. P. Judd to notlfv all absent members of the postponement of the meeting until Friday night. Mr. .Tudd's instructions included authorization au-thorization from the four members in attendance at-tendance to so word his notice to the i absent members as to earn- to their I minds conviction that their presence at ' the board rooms promptly at S o'clock j Friday night is essential to a proper I discharge of the duties of the board ! toward the teachers and supervisors who I are awaiting contracts for next year. |
