Only 15 girls will be permitted to enter the Miss Galena contest and absolutely no entrants will be accepted after 7 p. m., Thursday, Thurs-day, August 22, Walter Bolic, chairman of the Miss Galena contest con-test at which an attractive girl of Bingham district and two aids will be chosen to rule over Galena Ga-lena Days, September 11 and 12, announces. A deadline has been set for contest entrance to allow finalists final-ists ample time for planning and rehearsals for the public judging judg-ing at the Civic Center, Saturday, Satur-day, August 24. Qualified, out-of-town judges will make the selection. selec-tion. The 15 contestants will be asked ask-ed to cooperate with the Miss Galena Ga-lena committee in deciding on the manner in which the contest will be staged. In addition to selection of Miss Galena to reign as queen with her two aids, the Princess Copper Cop-per and Princess Silver, during Galena Days, special entertainment entertain-ment and a selection of winners in the beard growing contest will be made, Mr. Bolic states. Each of the 15 girls to participate partici-pate in the contest will be presented pre-sented favors. The three winners will receive expensive prizes and complete dress outfits. To be eligible as Miss Galena contestants, young women must live in Bingham Canyon, Copper-field, Copper-field, Highland Boy, Copperton or Lark, be between the ages of 16 and 21, and unmarried. Aids may live outside this district, dis-trict, provided their fathers are employed in Bingham district, but they must be unmarried, 16 years or older, but not over 21 years of age. Mr. Bolic asks that girls interested in-terested in the contest fill in, clip and send to him the Miss Galena contest entry blank in this issue of the paper.
