COMMISSION BEGINS RESURFACING ROADS Special to The Tribune. OGDEN, May 1. Unable to obtain action on the part of the state high-wav high-wav commission respecting improvements improve-ments to state roads m this county, the Weber countv commissioners took matters mat-ters into thei'r own hands today and authorized au-thorized Ralph S. Corlew, county road supervisor, to proceed with road surfacing surfac-ing work in several districts. Among other improvements, it. was decided to surface the Pleasant View and Ogden canyon roads with Tarvia. The board also decided to improve two miles of state road in the River-dale River-dale district, one mile to be coated with Tarvia and another mile with oil, in order to test the relative values of the two materials. The North Ogden road is also to receive a surfacing of oil. Late in the season the commissioners plan to concrete the Wilson road from West Ogden to a point near the sugar factory. It is probable that this work will be done with convict labor after the convicts have completed their work on the Riverdale road.
