Show FAVORS REGISTRATION OF ALL DRUG STORES Board of Pharmacy Makes Rigid Kec-ommendations Kec-ommendations in Its Biennial Bien-nial Report. Legislation requiring every drug store in the state to be registered with the secretary ol! state and also with the board of pharmacy is recommended by the board in its biennial report to . the governor, submitted yesterday. i It also recommends a law requiring j every drug store to be equipped with the latest United States pharmacopoeia and the National formulary. As a means of strengthening the law against unlawful drug traffic, the board ! urges the passage of a law whereby no person shall bo examined for registra- j tion as a pharmacist, or no renewal of ; registration made, who has been convicted con-victed of two or more violations of any state or federal law governing the sale of narcotic drugs or intoxicating liquors. li-quors. Tho board asks for authority to refuse to grant a renewal of certificate certif-icate of registration to any registered pharmacist who the board finds to be persistently violating the drug and liquor li-quor law, regardless of whether the person per-son has been convicted in court of such violations. The chief of police, B. F. Grant, aud the police department, is warmly commended com-mended and congratulated for the aid rendered in suppressing the drug traffic. traf-fic. The report says: "It is mainlv through their efforts, the chief and his assistants, that in the state of Utah at this time there is less of these habit-forming drugs being sold than in any state in the union.
