Show CHRISTMAS SPIRIT MUCH IN EVIDENCE Santa Claus Visits the City and County-Building County-Building Day Ahead of Time. The Christmas spirit was much in evidence evi-dence at the City and Countv building yesterday. The season's felicities, in the tiuipc of little remembrances and greet-imrs, greet-imrs, found their way back and forth among the offk-es throughout the day. The city commission's present to citv employes whs a resolution declaring Saturday Sat-urday of this week a holiday, thin- giving giv-ing them a three days' vacation. The lesolulion was Introduced by the newspaper news-paper men on behalf of the employees. The employees on the city side of the build Ins presented the newspaper men with a box of excellent cigars each. Commissioner Com-missioner W. H. Shearman also remembered remem-bered the newspaper men with a -box of cigars, as did Superintendent D. H. Chrls-teneen Chrls-teneen ami several others. Sheriff Andrew Smith, Jr., was presented present-ed with a diamond set charm for his watch chain, the gift of his deputie:-. Herman H.
