Show IPiflE CHiLDREN ClilfflT TREAT Little Folks at Kearns St. Ann's Institution Visited by Santa Claus. More than 100 litle folk, .with childish child-ish enthusiasm, greeted good old SL Nicholas Nich-olas yesterday when he made his annual pilgrimage to Kearns St. Ann's orphanage. orphan-age. For weeks his visit had been anticipated an-ticipated by the little folk and a special programme had been arranged for the occasion. Early yesterdav morning his approach was heralded and with faces scrupulously clean, liair carefully brushed and dressed in their Sunday best, they greeted him on his arrival. And, with him, he brought many friends to enjoy the sweet babbie of childish tongues and the smiling faces of appreciation. In the a sse mbly room was planted a big Christmas tree on which the presents pres-ents were hung. For the boys there were sets of tools, footballs, croquet sets, handkerchiefs hand-kerchiefs and Christmas stockings filled with fruits and sweetmeats. For the girls there were dolls, handkerchiefs, hair ribbons rib-bons and other articles so dear and necessary nec-essary to the childish feminine heart- At the conclusion of the programme the presents were distributed among the children by the donor, Mrs. Thomas Kearns. Then followed addresses by the clergy and some of the visitors, after which the little folk made merry as only children can. But their pleasure is to bo increased today when the usual bounteous Christmas dinner is served. Among other tempting morsels the menu contains roast turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, celery, apiUes, oranges, cake and candy. The repast and other pleasures incident to the reason are duo to the kindness of the institution's benefactors, among whom are Senator and Mrs. Thomas Kearns, United -Grocery, F. W.
