For the purpose of giving- a lecture on "Utah Archeology" be lore the American Association for the Advancement of the Study of Science in Philadelphia on December De-cember 29, Professor Byron I'umniins of the University of Utah left this city yesterday yes-terday afternoon for Pennsylvania. On the way he will discuss the topic of Utah archeology in the University of 'Chicago and similar Institutions. Professor Cummings received an invitation, invi-tation, to address the American scientists two week's ago, when it first became known that the ancient civilization of the Az-tecs and relics found In the caves of southern Utah and northern Arizona were fast becoming national in Interest. A complete series of notes, illustrated with lantern slides, has been kept by Professor Cummings relating to his discoveries dis-coveries during the last ten years and are said to be of threat scientific value.
