Show MEN CANNOT AGREE AND CALL FOR HELP Women Must Settle Question of Winners Win-ners in Scenario Contest of Ladles' Literary Club. Because three men can't agree the women must settle the question. Twelve members of the dramatic section of the Ladles' Literary club wrote twelve scenarios. scen-arios. With a view of having the best play reproduced and iilmed, the manuscripts manu-scripts were submitted to three local "movie" experts for adjudication in one, two, three order. The experts can't agree. Among the three Judges favor has settled on four scenarios, but even the plays that found favor with all of the judges are not placed in the same order. Each judge holds that a differ-out differ-out play is entitled to iirst place. As a result the four favored manuscripts will be referred back to the dramatjc section of the Ladies' Literary club fur final adjudication. ad-judication. The judges were George E. Carpenter, Notable Feature Film company, chairman; chair-man; A. J. Davis, manager Broadway theater, and H. A. Mms, general manager man-ager of the American theater. All of the manuscripts wero submitted by number only, so that tho author's identity would be unknown. Mr. Carpenter Car-penter selected numbers seven, seventeen and seventy-three in the order named; Mr. Sims, numbers twelve, seventeen and seventy-three; Mr. Davis, seventy-three-twelve and seventeen. The report of the Judges was received yesterday by Mrs. E. B. Palmer, chairman chair-man of the dramatic section of the Ladies' La-dies' Literary club, and the names of tho 1 authors of the favored manuscripts will probably be made known within the next few days. The dramatic section of the club will hold its regular meeting on the night of January A. when the question as to which manuscript is entitle! to first place will be discussed. All of the judges commended the work of tho writers very highly and suggested that with a little more attention to minor details excellent results would be obtained ob-tained in many cases. |
