Show STRANGER ATTEMPTS TO KIDIP A GIRL Child, Becoming Frightened, Frighten-ed, Jumps From Buggy and Makes Escape Margaret Huggins 10 years of age daughter of J E. Huggins, a farmer living at 336 Ramona avenue was cn ticed into a buggy driven by an un identified man late yesterday afternoon and 'driven at break neck speed to a point near the Park City spur of the Denver & Bio Grande below Twelfth south street. There the I ttle girl be coming thoroughly frightened by the man s actions jumped out of the buggy She then ran to her home and told her mother who summoned the police The child had been sent to a near by store by her mother A hor-e and buggy stood outside the store The driver a tall man in a long coat called the little girl and told her that he had ben sent by h-r father to brina b r home. Believing this the child climbed into the buggv She took fnght when they started in the opposite oppo-site direction but the man assured her that they were simply taking another route Patrolman Thomas W Milner and Chauffeur George Moore responded to the call from the child s mother and went at once to the house The father declares that the mysterious man re turned and drove past the house at a furious pace, and that although he stood m front of the foam flecked norse, the animal lashed into fury hargeu down the road past him Because of the child s nervous con dition it was impossible for the officer to obttain an accurate description of the man |
