Show LABORER SENT UP FOR THIRTY DAYS Otto Berk man, a laborer, about 36 yeanf of are, pleaded guilty to a charge of intoxication yesterday when he appeared ap-peared before Judge N. II. Tanner in the criminal division of the eity court. He received the sentence of thirty days in jail recommended by the city prosecutor, W. "W. Lltile, without making objection. Investigation developed the fact that the court was "advised in the premises," and that the defendant might count himself him-self fortunate that he did not face a more serious charge than intoxication. Berk-man Berk-man was arrested Thursday night after having, according to tle officers, beat his wife, who is ill at their rooms, 300 Kast First South street. The woman is too ill to leave the house. There are several small children. |
