Show COMMUNICATION" Cannon Corrtcts Statement. New York. Nov. 9. Iff 15. Editor Tribune: Among press clippinas reaching me here is one from The Tribune Trib-une jrivins? a dispatch, dated Denver. October 83", 1915. in which appears this statement concerning- a proposed Democratic Demo-cratic newspaper at Denver: "Senator Cannon would cancel his lecture lec-ture orranzenients if the paper were placed in his hands. It is known that he has made a definite proposition to run the paper." Without casting any reflection upon the fair intentions of your correspondent, permit per-mit me to correct a misapprehension. I did nft make a proposition to run the paper: the proposition was made to me. I would not cancel my lecture arrangements arrange-ments if the paper were 7 laced in my hands: on the contrary, all my lecture engagement en-gagement would have to be filled. It was atjreed by certain prominent Democrat in Colorado and myse':f That if a Eriven set of conditions could be met. a perinrtiral mifrht be established and I night take charge. I have been absent from mv home in Denver for some weeks, arj do not know all the details of the situation: but it is safe to sny that those conditions have not been, and they are not likelv to be, fulfilled.
