To the Honorablo Woodrow Wilson, President of the United States of America, Eesolutious wore pa6sed at the regular meeting of tho Master Builders' exchange of Salt Lako City, TJtali, this evening, dtploring the action of tho majority of tho Utah representatives in congress in not supporting you in your present position in rolation to the trouble in Mexico GEORGE R. THE above telegram was sent last night to President Wilson after tho Master Builders' exchange, by unanimous vote, had passed resolutions deploring the action of .Senator .Sen-ator Reed Smool, Congressman Jncob Johnson and Congressman ,los.eph Howell in voting against tho resolution before congress empowering Prp6idont Wilson to use the arm' and navy in enforcing en-forcing respect for the American flag. After a short discussion by tho members mem-bers of the exchange it was decuod that the present Mexican crisis wns a sub-joct sub-joct upon which the organi7.ation should go on record. A resolution was prepared embodying the sentiments of tho body and passed without a dissenting vote. Action Humiliating. With roforenco to tho action by the exchange, (Jeorge R. Gushing, prcsidont, said last night: Our organization is not political in any sense of the word, and wo do not regard our action on this question ques-tion as political, Tho members of the exchange folt hat the state j and the city had been humiliated by the attitude of a majority of the L'tah congressional delegation. The resolution was introduced after aft-er a number of the members had discussod the matter and decided that it waa advisable to pass such a resolution. It. was adopted by unanimous vote and the otllcers were authorized to send a telegram to President Wilson advising him ot our action. It is urged bv those interested in the plan that "Salt Lako follow the example of other cities all over the United States and call a mass meeting of citizens of the state to pledge to President Wilson the loyal support of tho peoplo in the present pres-ent crisis. A great many cities, largo and small, in all pnrts of the United States have already held these meetings and the president bus expressed himself as very grateful for tho assurances ot loyal support coming from patriotic citizens cit-izens everywhere.
