O. 1. with the Kchekah state assembly, was brought to a close In this city today with the election of officers and a point Jubilee meeting in tho ICnlyhls (if Rythias hall this evening. W II. Scott of Salt I-ako heads the Odd Fellows grand lodge for the coming year as l. Kiand master, and .Mrs. Gertrude McCluro of Tremonton was elected president of the Kcbckah state organization. The olher officers of the grand lodge as elected at tills morning's session are Roy Watrous of Salt hake, deputy grand master; F. II. Collventra. IJlngham. deputy dep-uty warden; .r. H. Hornung, Mantl. grand treasurer: tho Rev. J'. ,. Slmpkjn. Salt Lake, grand secretary, and W 11. lirerc-ton. lirerc-ton. Provo, grand representative. The delegates unanimously decided to hold the next grand lodge meeting in Salt L.ake City. Following the Installation this afternoon, after-noon, the newly elected offlcois announced tho following appointments: E. 11. Smith, Salt Lake, grand marshal; Robert Mcn-r.lcr. Mcn-r.lcr. Scoflcld, grand conductor; J. W. McGann. lt. Pleasant, gnind lterald; W. II. Zenor. Park City, grand guardian; "W. T. Cooir.bc. Robinson, grand messenger, and W. S. Morris. Tooele, grand chaplain. During the day's session the Odd bellows bel-lows grand lodge received a greeting from the grand lodge of .Maryland, which is also in session at this time. The Maryland Mary-land organization Is regarded as the "mother grand lodge" of the United States A report submitted by the l. O. O. F. home board of Ulah brought out the Information that then- Is now on hand for the proposed home a total of $lii,000. During the day resolutions of respect were adopted by the grand lodge on the death of H. C. W'ardlelgh. past grand master, and tho late W. T. Rowe. In addition to Mrs. McCluro as president, presi-dent, the other officers or the Rebekah state body elected today aro Florence Cotter Lehl. vice president: Joanna Melton, Mel-ton, Salt Lalco. warden: Clara J. Moore. Salt Lake secretary, and Rose Smith. Kephl, treasurer. The ladies of the Rebekah Re-bekah devoted the afternoon to their memorial services and the installation of the newly elected officers. Tho sessions of both organizations were closed Ihls evening with a .1oint social and entertainment In tho Knights of Pythns hall on Grant avenue. More than TOO delegates and members of the Ogden lodges were in attendance. |
