Show THE COMMISSION PERSISTS. It was announced sonic time ago that tho Carnegie commission to inquire into the outrages charged in the Balkan war had received such rebuffs by the governments of tho Balkan slates that it had given up. Greece wants the outrages committed by the Burgarians inquired into; the Servians wanted the outrages committed by Bulgarians and Turks reported; and Bulgaria wanted an Inquiry into outrages Turks, Greeks, and Servians committed, but. nothing said about Bulgarian . outrages, and so the commission was virtually run out of tho Balkan country. But now it is said that tho commission iB to make its inquiry after all. The powjrs of Europe havo pointed out to all concerned con-cerned that, resistance to the inquiry will imply confession of guilt; and so all tho Balkan states consent for the inquiry to bo made, and the world will bo told tho truth of tho charges. |
