More than half tho counties of this state are delinquent In ini2 taxus through the various levies to the state, a grand total of $lll,SGr,.SI. and must pay tho respective sums they own Into tho general treasury. This Is the announcement made by Slate Auditor Prcd L,. Huston, who has Just complied a table showing thc delinquencies and the sum each county bus charged up against it by the nt.itc. A total of fifteen counties coun-ties arc clear-listed and some of that number have a credit to their account, having overpaid. Ada county, of which Boise Is the county scat, is one of thc heavy delinquents, owing the state tho small tortune of $28.1 16.76. but Canyon county holds the distinction of being indebted in-debted tho hcuvlest to thc state with $37,-423 $37,-423 (7 charged up against it. A summary of tho outstanding general fund warrants shows $16-1.368.95 to have been issued and unredeemed at tho present pres-ent time. The overdue taxes are from thc lcvios mado in tho general Interest and sinking fund, public building and endowment en-dowment fund, livestock and sanitary fund, predatory animal, wagon road and university building equipment and endowment endow-ment levy. I.atah county, in which Is situated sit-uated the University of Idaho at Moscow. Is thc only county In tho state that has failed ta pay Its university building and endowment fund levy for 1912.
