Show TELEGRAPHERS ON THE FRISCO MAY STRIKE SPRINGFIELD. Mo.. Dec. 25. The mere formality of presenting again to tho receivers of the St. Louis and San Francisco railroad demands for a fifteen per cent wage Increase and an eight-hour eight-hour working day Is all that lies between 1200 telegraphers employed by the railroad rail-road and a strike, according to statements state-ments today by officials of tho telegraphers' tele-graphers' union. At noon, with less than a hundred of tho votes In a strike ballot bal-lot to be counted, all but twenty-five of the men had voted to "walk out. Union officials said their demands would be presented to the railroad receivers re-ceivers tomorrow for the last time, and the attitude of the telegraphers made known. All Indications, they said, pointed to another refusal of tlicse demands. |
