Show I OFFERS TO GIVE UP FORTUNE FOR PARDON Son and Successor of Hew York Money Lender Tries to Get Father Out of Prison XEW YORK, Dec. 25. That Elmer E. Tolman, son and business successor of "Daniel H. Tolman, a money lender now serving- a term In prison for six months, Is ready to surrender without reserve notes amounting to $500,000 and go out 3f business to obtain a pardon for his father, is the statement made tonight by Bonjfimln F. SpeJlman, counsel for tho Tolman6. Application for a pardon for Tolman was mndc to Governor Glynn Tuesday. Mr. Spellinan said that Elmer E. Tolman Tol-man was willing to meet any condition tho attorney general might impose. In addition to surrendering the notes without with-out reserve, ho is prepared to liavo the state's attorney draw up the papers in the case, should those he had submitted submit-ted fall to meet approval. Tolman, Jr.. moreover agrees to close as many of his places of business as possible by January Jan-uary 1 and all of thorn by May 1, 191-1. Should further evidence of good faith bo dcElred, tho applicant would be willing to have the pardon made conditional upon the performance of all promises made.
