Show OPERATORS TO USE STRIKEBREAKERS By International News Service. WILKESBARRE. Pa.. March 2G, Leading coal operators today disposed of reports that there would be another conference con-ference with the coal minors over a renewal re-newal of the wage scale by stating that no overtures had been made or would be made, looking to another conference. Work will be suspended In all mines next Saturday and an attempt will be made to man all collieries with strike-breakers. A number of imported strike-breakers have already arrived in the Soranton district. dis-trict. Two hundred of the nonunion men reaching Seranton today arc tonight quartered In that city and Carbondale. Until today there had been no definite statement that the operators would not suggest another conference. The hope had been strong that the door would be opened to further negotiations, but the frank statements of the operators Is proof that there is a well-laid plan to ascertain the unionists' strength during the time of suspension. The preparations havo boon made for an indefinite suspension. With the announcement an-nouncement that the Lehigh Valloy bad engaged 1000 men for strike duty came the statement from Harry Knlp. the strike-breaker of this city, that he had engaged 5000 men for seventeen different differ-ent companies and that all of these men would be ready for duty next Monday6 Tho suBpennlon order, which Is a plan of attack from tho miners' side, means that tho cutting of coal must cease Saturday.
