Show NEW SOCIETY FORMED BY SALT LAKE ARTISTS Tree Exhibitions to Be Given on Saturday, Satur-day, Sunday and Wednesday Afternoons, A new society of local artists, to be known as the Association of Salt Lake artists, has been formed, including some of the most talented men and women of this city. Free exhibits will be given three days a weok at Social hall, which has been secured as tbo headquarters of the art association. A formal opening open-ing will inaugurate tho new society next Saturday evoning. A rocoptlou will bo givon to which invitations nave been issued to tho friouds of tho artists, ar-tists, to inspect the headquarters and givo a glad Land to the venture. The charter membership includes J. T. Harwood, Lee Greene Kichards, Mies Mary Tcasdol, Miss Rose Hartwelh Miss Myra Sawyer, J. B, Fairbanks, J. Leo Fairbanks, Avard Fairbanks, Wesley Wes-ley Brown and Alma "Wright. Now membors will be added by vote of tho society. Each artist has a section of tho hall for an exhibit of his or her work, the positions having beon decided by lot. Tho exhibit will bo open on Saturday, Sunday and "Wednesday afternoons. 8omoone will be in charge each day to show visitors through. Loan exhibits will be held from time to timo, when the work of some of tho most prominent eastern artist3 will bo shown. |
