Show WORK ON AUTO ROAD. Improvement of Highway In Box' Elder County to Begin at Once. OGDEN. June 15. Work Is to be start-fd start-fd immediately on tho Improvement of the Box Elder county stretch of the automobile auto-mobile highway across Utah, according to information recuivnd by Manager J. D. Larson, of the Ogden Publicity bureau, who returned last night aftr attending the Intermountaln Good Roads convention In Boise. He has been assured in response re-sponse to requests from officers of the .Overland and Midland trails, that the commissioners of the northern county will enter at once upon the expenditure of $:!0r000. half of which comes from the state appropriation and the remainder from the county funds. XThe Information reached Mr. Larson following the receipt of a letter from W. J. Burton, vice president of the Salt Lake, Colorado-Utah link of the Midland Trail association, Mr. Burton requested that Immediate action bo taken by all roncerned In the improvement of the proposed pro-posed national route through Wobcr and Box Elder counties in order to Jpaurn ! the routing of the Indianapolis tourists across this stato by way of the northern I route. Only forty, days romnln before the visit of tlie Indiana delegation and, while the proposed work on the Inst strotoh to the Nevnda state line cannot bo completed com-pleted in that time, the work will be well under way.
