Twenty-four persons, per-sons, most of them women and children, wero Injured In a rear-ond 3troet car collision col-lision on the Grove Cour lake line in St. Louis county tonight. Mrs. Dora Bingham and Mra. RegIna A. Caroutbors probably will die. A scoro of others were bruised and cut by flying glass, but refused to go to the hospital. !. Both were open air cars, carrying abotit 100 picnickers each. Tho trolley of tho first car came off Just as It rounded a curve, leaving the car in darkness. Before Be-fore the trolley had been replaced the second sec-ond oar, running at a speed of forty miles an hour, crashed Into the roar. The cars wore interlocked and both tele scoped. Tho crash knocked women and children out from either side of the cars Into the gully beulde tho trackB. |
