The marshal, undaunted, hastened lo the. justice jus-tice of the peace for a warrant to search the collar and returned Just in lime to see a conveyance loaded with beer drive hurriedly away. A chase ensued, the marshal cutting across lots to intercept the load of forbidden for-bidden beverage. It arrived at the city limits before he caught up with it. Tho driver proceeded to American Fork, followed fol-lowed later by the Lehi city marshal. Tho latter went to the. American Fork city marshal, who got out a search and seizure warrant for the load of newly imported liquor, but when he went to serve the warrant the prize had been removed re-moved out of the city limits, and the Lehi clly marshal wended his way back home, again. An Interesting sequel of the chase Is that about- 0:3ft o'clock tho booze was brought back to Lehi and all sold out by midnight, and a reliable citizen who-paid who-paid a visit to the Joint last night stated that it was filled with Intoxicated youths, a dor.en of whom were under 21 years of age. |
