Show MORMON TEACHERS MUST PI TITHING Twenty-seven May Lose Positions Posi-tions because of Failure to Settle. Following instructive sessions during which time somo valuable topics have been under consideration .'iud freely discussed, the liftieth annual conference confer-ence for teachers of the Mormon church came to an end when the final meeting was held in Bnrratl hall i'ridaj" morning Following the opening exercises, consisting con-sisting of devotional service, music and a short summary of the day's jro-gramme, jro-gramme, the teachers separated into departmental meetings, in which tho specific work of these departments was discussed. Prof. 11. TT. Cummings. superintendent superintend-ent of Lhu Mormon schools, addressed the department of presidents and principals prin-cipals and said that the teachers would bo required absolutely to live up to certain conditions. Tithe paying is one of these conditions and he intimated that there arc twenty-seven teachers who will not be retained upon the payrolls pay-rolls next year because of their failuro lo live up to this condition this year. The other departments wore tho manual training and art department, domestic science and domestic art department, music and biblical training department. At -1:15 yesterday afternoon tho teachers teach-ers went' to Saltair, where an enjoyable outing was spent. Last night there were contests at the Dcserct gymnasium between the schools of tho north and south, the programme having boon arranged by the ph'sical directors of tho Brigham Young university. uni-versity.
