Show ORDER SMOKE DEVICE IT POM SCHOOLS Board Directs Installation of Consumers at Six Buildings; Build-ings; Teachers Named. . The regular meeting of the city board of education was held last night, at which much routine business was acted upon. Upon the recommendation of the buildings build-ings and grounds committee It was decided de-cided lo install smoke-consuming devices In six of the city schools and at the high school. The schools to be Included arc tho Emerson, Wasatch. Webster. Hawthorne. Lowell and Sumner. The estimated es-timated cost of these devices totals $llT.ri. Tho board authorized the building and grounds committee to forward lo William B. Itner. consulting architect for the new high school building, the plans aud specifications for tho building as soon as thev are completed. After approval by Mr.' Itner the plans will ho officially adopted by the board and bids for the new building will be advertised for. The board decided to place additional radiation facilities in the Washington, Lowell and "Webster school buildings. The action of the public school teachers' letircmcnl commission in placing Miss Harriet A. Ilobart on the pension list wa approved. Miss Ilobart has lauzht in the schools of this city for sixteen years. The. following teachers were appointed: Elementary sehools Georgia Copp. Daisy Flnncrty, Maydcll Cassfor and Vlo Sorenson. Manual training department Portho Fairbanks and H. V. Mnxson. High school Herbert Peterson. |
