A watchman obstructed tho door and detained Borah. "Are you a member of congress?" asked tho walchmnn. "I am not," replied Mr. Borah. "Then you cannot go In here," said tho watchman. "What arc you7" T am a ProBrosalve," replied Mr. Borah, meekly. "Thon you cannot go In," persisted the watchman. "What Is a Progressive, anyhow?" Inquired the watchman, betraying be-traying some doubt. ' After Senator Borah had oxtractcd all tho enjoyment out of tho situation that was possible, lm told tho watchman that ho was a senator and entitled to visit tho departments on official business even after tho hour at which I he doparlmont Is usually closed to visitors. Senator Borah loft for Idaho today, after a call at tho White House. Senator Smoot and his family will loavo for Provo tomorrow.
