Tho matter of Uic selection of a site for the. new high school was not disposed of by the city board of education at Its adjourned meeting Tuesday on account of the absence of four members of the board. Action on the proposition was postponed until tho next regular "'-cl-ing of the board, -which will bo held on Julv 12, and at that lime it is expected expect-ed that every member -will bo present and linal action1 taken on the matter, so that work on the new building may be commenced com-menced this fall. Arrangements were made for the appointment ap-pointment of enumerators to lalto the school census in the city this year. The two members of the board in each ward were .authorized to name the enumerators in their respective wards and submit tho appointments to Clerk Judd by July 10, no that the work of taking the census may begin on July 15, as required.
