District Dis-trict No.--L is composed of nil the slates west of the Rocky mountains, including British Columbia. There was a large attendance at the mooting in the temple. Mr. Swett, in his address, outlined the purposes of the order, stating that the work was constructive to make the Jews, strouger socinll' and in every way. Tho order also was devoted to the amelioration of the distressful condition con-dition of the Jews in Russia, Roiimania aud Galutia, and also to exterminate tho anti-Senietic feeling in all other countries. coun-tries. Mr. Schiller directed his reniurks generally gen-erally to Jews becomiug Americana; to "bringing themselves into public life and by their conduct in honesty and uprightness upright-ness to make themselves in its truest sense a credit to citizenship iu this country.
