With the approach of Iho time for the holding of the next session of the American mining congress at Goldiicld, Soptcmbcr 27 to October 2, interest in the event among the mining pcoplo of this cit.y is increased, and a movement is already on foot, lo run a special train to Goldfield from hero with a big crowd of boosters, a band and many accompaniments accom-paniments of a grand boost excursion, A committee composed of Lafayette Hancliett, R. J. Evans and M. P. Eraf-fett Eraf-fett has "been appointed from members of tho committee on mines and mining of tho Commercial club to make tho necessary arrangements for the excursion, excur-sion, and report at Use next mooting of tho board ot" governors of tho club. John Deru, one of tho executive directors direc-tors of tho American mining congress, is enlisting tho interest of mining men here, and the Commercial club also has taken hold of tho matter. It is pointed out that the position or this eitj- as headquarters for much of the mining business of tho inter-mountain inter-mountain country should be emphasized by the representation shown at the coming com-ing congress, and it is hoped that a large number of mining men will take advantage of tho opportunity to be present at tho convention, Tho running run-ning of a special train will bo especially espe-cially fitting and a great compliment to tho convention, it is urged, and a representation of probabl- 300 prominent prom-inent mining men ol the city and vicinity-would do much to show the interest which Salt Lakers havo in the proceedings proceed-ings of the meeting.
