I o Koborls & foist, engineers, have com menced the final platting of the Federal Heights subdivision preparatory lo the formal annexation to Salt. Lake City. This will be the first instance in the history of Salt Lake, and unique in the history of the United States, where a subdivision has been so highly im- proved before being taken into a city corporation. The entire forty three acres of Federal Heights has been completely com-pletely sewered under city supervision. All sewers are in iilleys, which afford access to every lot. W'ater mains were likewise laid to each lot. Sidewalk, curbing and gutters on every street of the tract have been installed according lo the city engineer's specifications. Pet rolithic 'paving has been completed on Laurel, Perry. Butler and Walcott avenues. First South street from University Uni-versity street to Walcott avenue is ready for the last coaling of asphalt oil. The construction crews are now lamping lamp-ing on South Temple street and Sigsbce avenue, west of Yalcott avenue, with expectations of finishing this, the last of the paving of the tract, by the time, the engineeis complete ho platting and lot slaking, probably -within the next two weeks. The entire expense of all these improvements, im-provements, amounting, with the gracing, grac-ing, parking, etc., to over $100,000, has been borne by the Tellmlde Koally company, com-pany, the owners of Federal II Ights, excepting thar. 1 he cily has agreed to repay lo the company' tho cost of Ihe water mains when receipts iroin water ratea, from builders in l-ederal Heights, shall amount to enough to do so. The Hubbard Invest ment company reported re-ported the sale of many building lots during the week, with especial activity in Oaklev park and Main street additions addi-tions ami in Fairinount Springs park, near the Sugar House section. Thero is a constantly growing activity in real estate and a bright prospect for the fall trade. The purchase of a handsome modern brick six-room residence on Thirteenth East between Fourth and Fifth South by I-'. M. H. Winn from the George Q. Cannon association was also reported on Saturday. The consideration was $1000. i. 4 Mr. Lottie Gillespie sold her home at 127 Fast Sixth South on Friday to Miss Pearl Peterson.
