Show BPIIRAIM CITY COUNCIL HAS YERY BUSY MEETING Special to The Tribune. EPHRA1M, Sept. 21. After an interesting in-teresting discussion which occupied the attention of the aldermen until late last night, the city council decided that the retail liquor 'business must not be disposed dis-posed of without a thorough consideration, considera-tion, and therefore took no action in the matrer. At the request of Councilman Council-man Joseph E. Anderson, who was placed in a position where he must cast mo deciding vote, the question was made the special order of business for a. special session of the city council, to bo held Monday evening. A petition bearing the signatures of several citizens was submitted, asking that if municipal ownersaip of waterworks water-works or some other .suitable plan ".an not be adopted at a public meeting to be held in the near future, a contract be cnlered into with Messrs. Smith and 25ucl;le. The petition was filed. |
