Show CONSTRUCTION OF HANDSOME PARK IN SOUTHEASTERN PART OF CBTY Work on the construction of a hand-I some park in the southeastern section of lho city on tho property purchased last, spring 1)3' tho Alhambra Park Ice and Power company continues and the undertaking will b'o ready for use by the opening of another season. At the present time negotiations are under way for the building of a "White City" similar to that at. Denver in tho park, and if this is carriod through, it will bo one of the handsomest resorts near the city. The tract includes fortv acres of A VIEW IN ALHAMERA PARK. 'ground, of which fifteen acres have been turned into a lagoon. Tho place includes what was formerly known as Hill's Park. The entire park has been put into a first, class condition, a hand-sumo hand-sumo new bungalow built for the use of the park keeper, and plans are now being prepared f.or a handsome club, with shade trees, and'the lakes are also constructed, and the company plans to expend about $200,000 more on the improvement im-provement of the property. The difference in level between the five small lakes in the park will be mil - I .f for the production of power for electric lighting, and light will also be furnished to residents of the vicinity. The water supply will alsp produce about 100,000 tons of ice, and tins will be a source of income to the company in the winter time. .
