Show SENATE COMMITTEE ON IRRIGATION W5LL BNSPECT NORTHWEST PROJECTS . WASHINGTON, Aug. 7. The senate committee on irrigation will soon begin be-gin its inspection of lands in tho Northwest tor -which reclamation projects pro-jects aro under way. Members of the committee will assemble at Chicago. . Senator Carter of Montana is chairman chair-man of the committee. Thcthor members mem-bers who will mako the trip arc Son-ators Son-ators Warren of Wyoming, Chamberlain Chamber-lain of Oregon, Flint of California, Painter of Kentucky and Borah of Idaho. At Billings, Mont., on August 15, Secretary of the Interior Ballingor and Director Newell of the reclamation reclama-tion service -will .ioin the committee and accompany it upon its mission. About one-half tho work mapped out for the committee will be completed this month. The inspection will be dis-continuecl dis-continuecl until November, when it will be resumed with Seattle as the starting point. Leaving Chicago on August 11, the committee will arrive at Glendive, Mont., the morning of August. 13. That day and tho next the lower Yellowstone project will bo inspected. On Sunday, August 15, the parry will reach Billings and the next day tho Guntlej' project will be inspected. Other projects that arc to receive the attention of the party and tho dateB follow: August 17 and 18, Shoshone project in northern Wyoming; 19 and 20, Great Falls and Sun River projects; 21, Lower Milk River project and Dod-son Dod-son Dam; 23 aud 21, St. Mary's Luke diversion canal line; 25, Kalispoll and Flathead projects; 27 and 28, Yakima Valley projects. The party will arrive in Seattle the morning of August 29. |
