Show NEWS OF MANT8 Spcclnl to Tho Tribune. MAN'rr. Aug, 7. One of tho soclnl events of tho week was a. surprise on Mr. and Mrs. Hoy La wen Sunday afternoon and evening by their many friends. There were about fifty of their friends present. A. delicious luncheon was served under the trees. Mr. and Mrs. Larson and family fam-ily left Thursday for their new home on tho Pintah reservation. Another social event of the week was a bundle shower, given by the W. T, K.'s Monday evening at the homo of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Bcsxey, in honor of Miss IJerlha Bcssey, a member of tho W. T. IJ.'a, who is to be married Wednesday next. Those present to make the evening a pleasant one wero Jessie Crawford, 1 Delia Stringham. Mnggie Tennant, Annlo 1 Knudson. Ingrl Stringham, Ada Cunningham. Cunning-ham. Allda Snow, Maud Brown, Ruby Tuttlc and Ethol Davenport. A dainty lunch was served about midnight. The main feature of the programme wan that all the ladies camo dressed In old-fashioned costumes and served an old-faah-ion-?d lunch. Mrs. Arthur Cunningham entertained tho W. T.
