OCR Text	Show POSTOFTICE WILL CLOSE FOR BIG G. A R. PARADE As tho proclamations of Governor Sprv and Mayor John S. Bransford simplv recommended Wednesday next, the dav of the great G. A. R. parade, as a state holiday, tho recommendations recommenda-tions do not cover the postoflico service. To do this tho day should havo been proclaimed a holiday. . Postmaster A. L. Thomas wired the postmaster general at Washington ox plaining to him tho circumstances nnd asking permission to close the office during the parade. A reply has been received granting the request, and the postoflico will likely bo closed from 0 a. m. to 1 p. m.
