Show HABCOMBE FUNERAL LARGELY ATTENDED Rev. Elmer I. Goshen Pays Elo-j q u cut Tribute to Memory of Prominent Citizen. i The funeral of William ITarcombe. who died Thursday after a lingering illness, i was held Sunday afternoon at U:.10 o'clock from the family residence, 2i!2 Eighth East street. Tho services were of a most impressive nature and wore attended by a host of friends and relatives of tho deceased, including members of tho A. p. C. W.. of which Mr. Hareombo was formerly grand receiver, and members of the Travelers Protective association, of which he was stato president at Ihe timo of ills death. The funeral services were conducted bv tho Uv. Elmer I. Goshen, pastor of the First Congregational church, and preceding preced-ing and following the sermon several musical mu-sical selections were rendered. Rev. Mr. Goshen reviewed Hie past career ca-reer of tho deceased, tolling of flu. many manly traits possessed by him, which endeared en-deared hlni to his legion of friends; of his sterling qualities as a citizen, a husband hus-band and father; and. In speaking of his absence from the family circle, said he would truly be missed. Ho mentioned. the friendships formed bv Mr. Harcombe as evidenced during his final Illness, when these friends, formed In every walk of life, called upon hlni and did all In their power to cheer and comfort hlni. Mr. Goshen declared him to have been a rare specimen of manhood one of the kind Mint Is always of the utmost worth to a family and community, and one who will bo missed by all Ills associates. Mr. Goshen's Go-shen's trlhuo was a touching one, and was heartily concurred In by the entire assembly. as-sembly. There were many handsome floral tributes trib-utes sent, not only by friends and relatives, rela-tives, but also from the different organizations organi-zations to which Mr. Hareombo had belonged. be-longed. Burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery, ceme-tery, by O'Dounell ,fc Co. The pallbearers were E. M." Ellison, Jr., W. F. Adams. Roderick McKenzle, T.eRoy Burn. F. C. Schramm. Edward Lane, P. F. Farrell and John Burleigh. |
